trainwell (formerly CoPilot) is one of the better async coaching services. A dedicated, full-time trainer builds your plan, the app guides your workouts with motion tracking, and your trainer stays close through texts, video messages, and check-in calls. Peloton chose it to power their personal training offering, which says plenty.
What trainwell doesn't sell is a trainer on live video while you work out. The app's sensors are, in their words, your trainer's eyes and ears during a session. We think that phrase gives the game away: sensors measure pacing and range, not bar path, bracing, or the wobble before form breaks.
